Chilly End to July

A deep trough located in the Great Lakes is more typical of what we'd see in the winter months. Today will be a slight improvement over yesterday. Clouds should break for some sunshine, however, showers are still likely mainly across the northern half of the commonwealth. Temperatures will struggle into the mid and upper 60s with a few of the bigger towns topping 70s degrees mainly east of I-99. This pattern will take it's time moving through New England and out to sea by the weekend. Until then, We can expect cooler than average temperatures and scattered showers. A gradual warm up is expected through the end of the week.
