Winter Weather Advisory continues for Laurel and Chestnut ridges in Westmoreland and Fayette counties and Garrett County Maryland until 7:00 PM.

Wind Chill Advisory for The Laurel Highlands and counties north of I-80 this evening through Saturday morning. Dangerous wind chills well below zero at times.

A Winter Storm Watch goes into effect Sunday and Monday for The western PA. This Watch will likely be extended eastward tomorrow.

Snow, A Break then More Snow

Winter weather advisory is still in effect for the ridges of Westmoreland and Fayette counties and Garrett county Maryland. Snow is gradually diminishing across much of the state but will linger in the Laurel Highlands through sunset. Northwest winds gusting to 35 MPH will cause blowing and drifting especially in the high elevations and open areas. We'll enjoy a dry cold Saturday then more snow is on the way late Sunday into Monday. This storm as the potential to bring heavy snow across the mid Atlantic states and we'll track it's development through the weekend on the air and on line. The main threat for the next 24 hours...Wind chills from -10 to -20 tonight and early Saturday.
