Check Gulf Coast Road Conditions
The U.S. Department of Transportation said in a news release Friday that it is supporting state and local fficials in assessing damage to highways, bridges, railroads, airports, transit systems, ports and pipelines in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.It also said that various state departments of transportation can provide information on highway closures and conditions in areas affected by the storm.Each state can be called individually:Alabama
