Centre County police are investigation whether the suspect in a child rape case may be connected to other crimes.David Hollenback, 50, of Boggs Township, was arrested after state police were tipped off that he may have child pornography on his computer.Through that investigation, police said they found evidence to charge him with raping a 6-year-old girl. Police said a video showed the alleged rape.Investigators said Hollenback had at least two computers with child pornography at his home, as well as a third that he sold. Police confiscated DVDs, computer videos, pictures and other evidence. Some of the homemade videos date back more than five years, police said. The state police Computer Crime Unit is searching for more potential local victims."It's a gruesome crime. But we just do our job and go through the evidence and follow through with the prosecution," said Trooper Jeff Petucci of the state police Hollidaysburg barracks. "(We) have to go through the evidence - videos, DVDs, whatever there is - and from there, try to determine to see if there were other children."Police said Hollenback lives in a secluded area on Big Hickory Lane, about six miles from the state police barracks at Rockview. He worked at the Wal-Mart on North Atherton Street in State College.Hollenback has no prior criminal history, and it was not immediately clear if he ever had a job that involved dealing with children.Stay with WJAC-TV News and WJACTV.com for continuing coverage.
