A Cambria County school district has reached a settlement after 22 teachers filed a lawsuit.

The 22 female teachers filed the suit against the Richland School District, claiming they started at a lower pay scale than male teachers. The district will pay out $460,000, but is not admitting any wrongdoing. A federal judge still needs to approve the deal.

Richland Superintendent Tom Fleming says the district will implement a more specific policy how how teachers are paid, based on work experience.
