Important Information You Need To Know About Digital Switch Set For Friday

Friday is the federal government's deadline for TV stations across the country to turn off their analog signals and switch to digital.

Hundreds of millions of dollars were spent to make sure everyone got up to speed for the June 12 deadline.

WJAC-TV will be turning off its analog signal at 9 a.m. on Friday.

There will be a phone bank on Friday to help people who are having difficulties with the switch. The phone number to call is 1-888-952-2462.

Once the digital switch is made, WJAC-TV newscasts will not be broadcast on the radio anymore. It is a frequency issue and 87.8 FM will no longer be available.
