NEENAH, Wis. -- Students in the Neenah School District are now being limited to healthy snacks, Milwaukee station WISN reported.Students who want to bring in an occasional treat for their classmates will be limited to fruits, vegetables and other healthy foods. The district tightened its wellness policy and banned cupcakes, candy and other sweets. One parent is asking the Board of Education to ease those rules. She said banning the items doesn't teach children moderation or portion control.Tullar Elementary School Principal Diane Galow said it's not the sugary cupcake that's important; it's the ability of the students to share a treat on their birthday or special day.
