Let's Go Skiing! And Snowboarding!!Seven Springs day trip with DMV Local Ski and Snowboard MeetupSee event announcement at http://www.meetup.com/DMV-Local-Ski-and-Snowboard-Group/ Please use the MeetUp site to arrange carpools. FAQsWhere will I pick up my lift ticket? We will distribute lift tickets at the Group Sales office between 8:45 and 9:15.
What if I arrive after 9:15?If you will arrive after 9:15, please send a text to the organizer at 240-460-4408 to arrange pick up of lift ticket. Is my registration transferable?Yes. If you buy a ticket and decide not to attend, you can sell, transfer, bequeath, or give away your ticket, as long as you email the organizer to inform him of the change. However, you will miss out on a great day of skiing or boarding while your friend, who was nice enough to buy your ticket, will be having all the fun. Please don't forget to send email to the organizer if you transfer your registration. What is the refund policy for lift tickets? If you pay for this Meetup and later discover that you cannot attend, we will issue a refund if you cancel by 8:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 2. This will provide skiers/boarders with an extended opportunity to assess the upcoming weather and snow conditions and make an informed decision. How to Cancel a ReservationStep 1) Change your RSVP on the Meetup siteStep 2) Notify the Event Organizer by email by 8:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 2, 2013.Other circumstances in which we will issue a refund1) If we are not able to secure a group rate for lift tickets, we will issue a refund. We need to have at least 20 paid lift tickets by 8:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 2 to secure the group lift ticket rate for the January 5 trip to Seven Springs. 2) If the event is cancelled by the DMV Local Ski and Snowboard Group Organizer or the Event Organizer, we will issue a refund.
Why is the refund policy so complicated? This meetup is a break-even event. An important aspect of breaking-even is to not lose money. If, at the last minute, people decide not to attend and we are stuck with a very large bill for un-used lift tickets, the chances of breaking-even are dramatically decreased. Therefore, we require payment in advance. We have to give Seven Springs a firm commitment by Wednesday to secure the group discount rate for skiing/boarding on Saturday. Don't wait for perfect conditions, the time to go skiing or snowboarding is now, or January 5, to be more precise. What is the refund policy for ski/snowboard rental and lessons? If you pay for ski or snowboard rentals or lessons, but do not attend, we will refund the price of those items, less any fees. However, the price of the lift ticket ($49) is not refundable after 8:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 2.You must notify the organizer by email no later than 5:00 p.m. the day prior to the event that you will not be attending and are requesting a refund for ski/snowboard rental and/or lessons.
