Other circumstances in which we will issue a refund1) If we are not able to secure a group rate for lift tickets, we will issue refunds. We need to have at least 20 paid lift tickets by 8:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 20 to secure the group lift ticket rate for the February 23 trip to Seven Springs.2) If the event is cancelled by the DMV Local Ski and Snowboard Group Organizer or the Event Organizer, we will issue refunds.
Why is the refund policy complicated? This meetup is a break-even event. An important aspect of breaking-even is to not lose money. If, at the last minute, people decide not to attend and we are stuck with a very large bill for un-used lift tickets, the chances of breaking-even are dramatically decreased. Therefore, we require payment in advance. We have to give Seven Springs a firm commitment by Wednesday to secure the group discount rate for skiing/boarding on Saturday.
Is my registration transferable?Yes. If you register for this event and later decide not to attend, you can sell, transfer, bequeath, or otherwise give away your ticket, as long as you inform the Event Organizer of the change. However, you will miss out on a great day of skiing or snowboarding, while your friend, who was nice enough to buy your ticket, will be having all the fun. Please don't forget to email the Event Organizer I don't want to give away your ticket to some random person claiming to have bough your ticket.
What are the fees for and who gets them? The fees are what we pay to EventBrite for their services; the fees include the amount that goes to the credit card companies for their proessing. The fees do not got to the Event Organizer or the Meetup Organizer. Using EventBrite allows us to sell several different types of ticket and efficiently manage a large number of ticket purchases. Is this a good weekend to go skiing?Yes. Summer is long and hot. Don’t miss a chance to go skiing and riding while the lifts are open.
