CLEVELAND -- A 7-month-old boy is doing well after being left alone in a locked day care center after hours.A Cleveland police unit that investigates crimes against children wants to know how this happened, and so do the parents, WEWS-TV in Cleveland reported. The parents said that when Brightside Academy closed at 6:30 p.m. Friday, the doors were locked and their baby was left behind at the day care. The child's mother said the boy was found in horrible conditions in the building. She said it appeared that the child was left alone in the day care for about seven hours with no food.Officers called the day care's owner, who said she would send someone to open the door, but hours passed and no one came.Police said when they called the owner back, someone hung up on them twice."You would think this is a business that deals with children, so as soon as you hear something about someone left in there, someone should have been rushing there to help," said father Eddie Humphrey. WEWS called the day care's owner and stopped by her home in Euclid, but couldn't reach her.
