Louisville basketball player Kevin Ware spoke to the media for the first time Wednesday since suffering a gruesome leg injury on national television earlier in the week.

 
  • The good people at Forbes have done some math (better them than us) and have calculated what teams in college football have spent the most per win -- and these teams don't have many of them -- over the last three years. Starting off the list is Auburn. The Tigers, who only won three games this season, trailed only THE Ohio State and Alabama as the biggest spenders per win -- a cool $3,433,053.
  • Purdue spent $3,462,964 for its six regular season wins in each of the last three years.
  • The Bears have won 15 games over the past three seasons, at a cost of $3,632,39 per victory.
  • Mascot Goldie Gopher may be all cute, but the $3,794,297 per win is kinda ugly.
  • Duke had six wins this season. The Blue Devils had six total over the two previous years. Each win came at a price of $4,131,775.
  • The Eagles didn't have much to soar about this season with just two wins, at a cost of $4,292,148 each.
  • Washington State hasn't won more than four games in any of the last three seasons, at a cost of $4,567,675.
  • The Buffaloes moved to the Pac 12 from the Big XII in 2011 and won just four games since - at $4,703,188 per win.
  • Indiana hasn't made a bowl game since 2007. The Hoosiers' cost per win is $5,830,877, more than the average team from a BCS conference.
  • Kansas won just one game this season - costing the Jayhawks $8,008,880. That's more than three times coach Charlie Weis' $2.5 million salary.
