H1N1 Flu Vaccine Clinics Opened Across State

The Department of Health started statewide H1N1 flu shot clinics to target priority groups.

They have a total of 18 clinics beginning Nov. 20 - 22. Friday's clinic hours are from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday hours will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. And Sunday's hours are fro 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

WJAC went to Richland's clinic at the Richland Fire Department on Friday and hundreds of people were there to get a shot or a nasal spray vaccine.

Health officials estimate it takes around 15 minutes to get through the line if you come at your designated time.

If people still want to register they have spots open. Just call 1-877-PA HEALTH, or you can log onto www.H1N1inPA.com and look under "what's hot."

Groups encouraged to sign up are individuals between six months and 24 years, caregivers for children younger than six months, pregnant women, healthcare providers, and anyone under 65 years old with underlying health conditions.
