Nats Sign Guardado To Minor League Deal

Washington, DC -- (Sports Network) - The Washington Nationals on Saturday signed veteran reliever Eddie Guardado to a minor league contract.The 39-year-old lefty had a 1-2 record with a 4.46 earned run average in 48 appearances last season for Texas. A two-time All-Star selection, Guardado has 187 career saves and ranks fourth among active pitchers with 908 appearances with Minnesota, Seattle, Cincinnati and the Rangers.
