WESTMONT, Pa.--The Westmont High School girl's volleyball team holding a blue game Thursday night to raise money and awareness to find a cure for colon cancer.
The game was dedicated to Douglas Spangler, a Westmont alumnus who lost his battle with the disease last year.
Spangler's daughter said she is glad to see people supporting the cause.
"They know there are so many people suffering from it, not just people locally, but all over the world who have to deal with this, and you know, this just goes to show that how amazing people are now," Hayden Spangler said.
All of the money raised goes to the Conemaugh Cancer Research Center in Douglas Spangler's name.
