Two district football champions will be crowned Friday night.

In District 5-A, three-seed Windber faces four-seed Conemaugh Township at Berlin High School. This game is a rematch of a week two WestPac match which the Indians won 14-0. The Ramblers started the season 1-2, but since then, Windber has won seven of its last eight. Conemaugh Twp., meanwhile, started this season with only six starters returning from a team which didn't make the playoffs in 2007.

In District 6-AAA, top-seed Hollidaysburg plays two-seed Johnstown at Mansion Park in Altoona. The Golden Tigers have won nine straight games after losing the season opener 37-0 to State College. This is their third straight appearance in the 6-AAA championship game -- losing last year and winning in 2006, both against Indian Valley.

Johnstown is making its first appearance in the championship game since 2004. The Trojans are 8-3 this season. Their ninth win of the year will not only mean their first district title in five seasons, but also the 600th win in school history.
