San Diego, CA -- (Sports Network) - Chase Headley had a career night, going 3- for-5 with four runs batted in, while Randy Wolf hurled seven solid innings as the San Diego Padres took care of the Florida Marlins, 10-1, in the second meeting of a three-game series.Wolf (6-8) halted a personal four-start losing streak, giving up just one run on five hits while striking out seven and walking one to carry the Padres, who snapped a nine-game home losing streak. Scott Hairston kept up his torrid stretch, going 3-for-5 with two runs scored and a three-run homer, his fourth long ball in as many games. Brian Myrow added a pinch-hit solo blast to end San Diego's two-game slide. Andrew Miller (5-8) extended his winless streak to four starts, getting tagged for four runs on six hits while striking out five and walking four in his five-inning start for Florida, which has lost four of six. Jeremy Hermida provided the Marlins' only offense in the first inning with a solo round-tripper, but San Diego rattled off 10 unanswered runs to cruise to the victory. "We had some opportunities and [Wolf] made pitches when he had to," Marlins manager Fredi Gonzalez said. A double, walk and a hit batter loaded the bases in the home first for Headley, who rocked a double over Josh Willingham's head in left to clear the bases. A single and walk crowded the bases again, and Nick Hundley made it a 4-1 Padres lead with a sacrifice fly -- his first career RBI -- before Wolf struck out to end the inning. Wolf was perfect in the third, fifth and sixth innings, and the home team tacked on five more to pull away. "They are obviously a good lineup," Wolf said referring to the Marlins, who lead the majors with 128 home runs. "You just have to change speeds. I knew if I had my fastball going I had a chance." Doug Waechter toted the rubber to start the sixth for Florida, but the reliever didn't last long. Hundley doubled and Wolf reached on Waechter's throwing error before Hairston got a hold of a 2-2 fastball and pasted it for his 13th homer of the season. Later in the inning, Headley singled in Adrian Gonzalez to end Waechter's brief performance, and Luis Rodriguez made it 9-1 with a sacrifice fly to center two batters later. Myrow, who was recalled from Triple-A Portland before the game, pinch hit for Wolf in the seventh and put an exclamation point on a rare offensive outburst for the Padres, connecting on his first career home run to right. Joe Thatcher, who was also recalled from Portland Tuesday, and Cla Meredith each tossed scoreless innings of relief to back Wolf's strong outing to seal the win. Game Notes The Padres haven't dropped 10 straight at home since losing 12 in a row from May 22-June 10 of the 1972 season...Wolf came into the game 3-12 with a 6.24 ERA in 19 appearances against Florida...The Marlins were attempting to win three straight games for the first time since May 25-26...Florida's Cody Ross extended his hitting streak to 12 games by going 1-for-3, but teammate Hanley Ramirez snapped his career-high 14-game hitting streak by going hitless in four at-bats...Besides bringing up Myrow, the Padres had plenty of other moves Tuesday, selecting the contract of outfielder Chip Ambres, outrighting outfielder Paul McAnulty and pitcher Carlos Guevara to Portland and placing pitcher Brett Tomko on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right elbow, retroactive to July 1...Florida placed catcher Matt Treanor on the 15-day disabled list with a left hip strain, selected the contract of catcher John Baker from Triple-A Albuquerque, and transferred pitcher Lee Gardner to the 60-day disabled list.
