Got a second? Good Housekeeping's beauty department says a few new, clever beauty items can help women look and feel fresher in no time.

Even though some of these products are small enough to pack into a purse, Good Housekeeping says they're big time-savers on a busy day.

"One of the most annoying things is when you find yourself with a dull eyeliner or lip liner and there is no sharpener in sight," says Holly Crawford, Beauty Editor, Good Housekeeping Institute. "So the nice thing that Clinique has done with their Kohl Shaper for Eyes is put the sharpener in the lid so no matter where you are you always have a sharpener with you."

The C.O. Bigelow Mentha Lip Shine is a new way to get fresher breath and luscious lips.

"The C.O. Bigelow Mentha Lip Shine is a really nice product because it's got peppermint oil in it, but it is not sticky," says Crawford. "So that means whenever you lick your lips you get sort of a refreshing burst of mint on the spot, but it just gives your lips a nice shine."

"We handed out these lip glosses to people and let them use them throughout the day as often as they wished and they evaluated it," says Karen Rauen, Chemistry Director, Good Housekeeping Institute. "And our volunteers loved the cooling sensation this gave them."

The Revlon High Dimension Hair Color delivered permanent all-over color in just ten minutes. Much faster than many other do-it-yourself products. And the Institute applied the Revlon hair color to human hair swatches to test the 10-minute color.

"Most other at home products take between 25 minutes and 45 minutes for the hair coloring process," says Rauen. "This is only ten minutes and you are out the door. I don't see any greys at all."

Good Housekeeping also recommends beauty products with garden botanicals which can actually help your skin. Look for items with the ingredient "witch hazel" to help unclog pores and prevent pimples. And creams with something called "feverfew" can help keep your skin from getting red.
