The attorney for a Blair County couple said they are trying to repay hundreds of thousands of dollars mistakenly deposited into their account.

Attorney Thomas Dickey said $280,000 appeared in Herbert and Becky Starbird's account last fall, and despite their repeated efforts to alert the bank, it took no action.

The bank has since filed a lawsuit against the couple demanding repayment.

Dickey said the couple paid back some of the money and are trying to work out a payment plan to repay the rest.
