WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Mesa Air Midwest announced Thursday it was ceasing air operations at DuBois Regional Airport. After May 23, there will not be air service at the airport until August. That is when Gulfstream is expected to take over service.Mesa Air Midwest cited high fuel prices and low demand for the decision. In a press release, DuBois Regional Airport officials said "although the cessation of service by Air Midwest at DUJ is regrettable, the DuBois Regional Airport's Management and Authority believes that the opportunity to begin service mid-August with Gulfstream International, as well as the Cleveland/Continental connection, will provide travelers at DUJ reliable service with connections to more destinations and more non-stops flights."Stay with Channel Six News for more details on this story.
