A Somerset County businessman who had pledged funding to an area school building program faces federal fraud charges.

Eric Skys presented a check to Rockwood School District for $200,000 in 2006 on behalf of his company.

Skys is charged with securities fraud, wire fraud and bank fraud for allegedly cheating financial institutions out of millions of dollars.
