Weapons, Ammunition Seized From Somerset County Home

A crime unit with the Pennsylvania State Police searched a Somerset county home last week and seized weapons and ammunition.

Police arrested Coreen Cunningham, 35, after searching her Gilmore Road home on Thursday.

State police said the search was the result of two separate investigations, one by the state police, the other by the FBI.

Both investigations led law enforcement to the home. During the search, state troopers and FBI agents seized numerous weapons like rifles and shotguns, ammunition, tactical equipment and a 2008 Chevrolet Suburban.

Officials said that Cunningham was not the person they were looking for. Police said the basic investigation was into the home, and its connection to a man known in the area as Eric Skys. Skys faces federal charges in a bank fraud scheme.

Skys was scheduled to be transported to New York City to face the charges, but a judge in New York state postponed the hearing, meaning Skys will remain in the Cambria County Jail until federal marshals can transport him.

The FBI said Skys attempted to get banks to lend him millions of dollars based on phony documents and information.
