The University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown will be searching for a new athletic director. The school released a statement Wednesday afternoon that said only, "Mike Castner is no longer at UPJ." Castner took over as interim athletic director in September 2001 when Ed Sherlock retired. He assumed the full-time duties in June 2002.

Castner was first hired by UPJ in 1978 as a building manager and the school's first athletic trainer. UPJ's assistant athletic director is Johnstown native Nikki Babik.
