CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. -- College students in Cambria County not only got their seasonal flu shots on Monday, they were also helping emergency officials prepare for the H1N1 vaccinations. The seasonal flu shots are in short supply right now so emergency management officials said they were happy to have enough vaccines to hold Monday's clinic at St. Francis University in Loretto.St. Francis and Mount Aloysius students and staff rolled up their sleeves to get the shot. There was even enough leftover to give to the general public, about 700 doses. The Cambria County EMA is holding two clinics to not only protect against the seasonal flu, but also to practice for when the H1N1 vaccines arrive.St. Francis University is one of several pod sites around the region and officials said they want to make sure they are ready for the pandemic.Medical experts claim college students are a high risk group for the seasonal and the swine flu because of the close quarters they live in.There is still no date set for the second clinic in Johnstown. Officials are waiting on more flu vaccine to arrive.
