MILES TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- A fire this afternoon heavily damages a house in Centre County.

It happened on Shaffertown Road near Madisonburg.

The fire appears to have started in the upstairs, because when crews arrived flames were shooting through the roof.

Two children were inside, but got out safely.

Eight fire companies battled the blaze.

Investigators are now trying to figure out how it started.
