Police Search Jefferson County For Fugitive

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Police in Jefferson County are on the lookout for a fugitive near Reynoldsville.The man fled after a routine traffic stop around 10 a.m. on Thursday.Police searched for hours in the area surrounding the westbound Interstate 80 rest stop near Reynoldsville.Officials asked motorists not to pick up hitchhikers.Police are looking for a man in his late 30s, around 5'11' and weighs around 185 pounds.The man has blond hair and police said he was wearing a tan jacket.He was carrying a handgun, and police consider him dangerous.Anyone with information on this case should call the state police at (814) 371-4652.
