Investigators said it may take months before they determine the cause of a deadly plane crash in Centre County. The single-engine plane crashed into a wooded, remote part of Snow Shoe Friday night. The passenger, 63-year-old Harry Batson, of Erie, Ohio, died in the crash, while the pilot, Pascal Schadegg, of Switzerland, was able to call 911 from his cell phone after the crash.Schadegg remained in fair condition at Altoona Hospital on Monday.Because of darkness and the remote location of the crash, it took rescuers several hours to find the wreckage. The plane, a Glastar 41, is an experimental aircraft which is a home kit plane not built by the manufacturer.Federal investigators said their first report would probably be available within the next two weeks.
