Blair County -- Tammy Grimes faces numerous charges, including theft and receiving stolen property after she took "Jake the dog" away fom his owners.

According to Grimes, the wrong person is facing charges in Jake's case. She claims the Blair County District Attorney offered her a deal that would wipe her record clean, if she agreed to give back the dog and undergo rehabilitation.

However, Grimes turned the plea bargain down. She tells Channel 6 News, the dog's owners are the real criminals who abused and neglected their own pet.

Grimes says she last saw the dog in October and he's doing just fine.
