Jim Burton: Through The Years

Posted: 12:36 pm EST February 20, 2007Updated: 3:31 pm EDT July 29, 2009

From winter storms to school visits to Gobbler's Knob, Chief Meteorologist Jim Burton has managed some fine work in the weather center and elsewhere.

Wherever the weather is, you'll find Jim Burton.

And his sense of humor and contagious laugh has often rubbed off on his co-anchors, making him the butt many jokes.

Jim has been one of the most recognizable faces on local television, but it hasn't always been that way -- he's also played one of Santa's helpers.

While he's worn a lot of different hats in his two stints with Channel 6, it's his passion for isentropic lifting, hypsometric and barometric pressure that makes this meteorologist from Canada tick.

We couldn't fit all of Jim's best work into our story, but you can see more images at the top of this page.
