E. Coli Found in Hoss's Meat

ALTOONA, Pa. -- Friday, Hoss's Steak & Sea House, which has 10 locations across the Alleghenies, decided to pull nearly 260,000 pounds of meat from its restaurants, one day after lab results tested positive for E. Coli.In March, five people, including two from State College, reported getting sick after eating at Hoss's. Tests were done, and the results came back late Thursday, showing E. Coli was the cause of the sickness.Hoss's is reassuring its customers that it is safe for them to eat in the restaurants, now that all the tainted meat has been recalled. The company encourages concerned customers to contact the corporate office with any questions.
