EBENSBURG, Pa. -- On the heels of a state report, Cambria County commissioners made changes to get Laurel Crest back on track.Channel 6 News reported the county faces a June 19 deadline to fix more than a dozen problems with the county-run nursing home. The facility is currently under an admissions freeze until the problems can be corrected. As a result, commissioners on Friday demoted the current director of nursing and replaced her, and then created another position to handle human resources. If the facility does not make the June 19 deadline, the facility could lose its license.
