Local Doctor Center Of Controlled Substance Investigation

A hearing was under way Monday concerning the Centre County physician who headed up an effort to reopen Philipsburg Hospital.According to court documents, Dr. Larry Adams is under investigation in connection with the distribution of controlled substances.The Clearfield Progress reported that employees of Mid-State Medical Services of Philipsburg, where Adams has his practice, are being asked to testify at the hearing.Stay with Channel 6 News for continuing coverage.
