Two Local Doctors Arrested On Drug Charges

A Centre County doctor spearheading efforts to reopen Philipsburg Hospital was one of two doctors arrested on drug charges Tuesday.Dr. Larry Adams and his partner, Dr. Michael Fuentes, were arrested by officials with the Pennsylvania Attorney General's office.Last month, police raided Adams' office and home and seized a number of drugs and related materials.Investigators allege Adams illegally sold prescription drugs and traded drugs like OxyContin in exchange for firearms.Officials with the attorney general said they investigated Adams and Fuentes for five months.Stay with Channel 6 News for continuing coverage as details become available.
