Philipsburg Residents React to Arrest of Two Doctors
Some say it's time to find another entity to continue efforts to reopen Philipsburg Hospital
The arrest of Dr. Larry Adams for alleged prescription drug offenses is raising new questions about the future of Philipsburg Hospital. Adams has been the most recent driving force in trying to get the facility reopened for emergency care. Residents in Philipsburg weighed in today. Some say they have concerns about the doctor's ability to run the hospital, amid the allegations. "Can you trust him with the finances of the hospital? The administration of the hospital? If he's found guilty, I couldn't," according to Philipsburg resident Barb Wisor. Exactly how will the arrest impact the efforts to reopen the hospital? That question remains unanswered. The attorney involved in Adams' efforts to bid and reopen the hospital did not return a call for information, Tuesday.
