STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- The arrest of Dr. Larry Adams won't derail the reopening of a Centre County hospital. An attorney for Philipsburg Hospital told Channel 6 News that plans to get it up and running are moving forward.Richard Behrens, an attorney for the hospital, said, "The project is moving forward as planned. This project is all about reopening for the benefit of the community."Asked by Channel 6 what role, if any, Adams would have in the reopening now that he has been arrested, Behrens said, "I don't have specific answers," adding, "Let me put it this way: The project doesn't rise and fall on one person's situation."Adams and his colleague at the Midstate Medical Center, Dr. Michael Fuentes, were arrested and charged on Monday with inappropriate distribution of prescription drugs. As far as when the doors of the hospital could reopen, Behrens said he didn't have specifics on that, but hoped to have more details in the next few weeks.
