Quecreek Mine Rescue Celebrated This Weekend
In remembrance of the Quecreek Mine rescue, events are scheduled throughout Somerset County this weekend.Our Coal Miner's Cafe will host a special dinner and festivities Friday night. On Saturday, the fifth anniversary will be marked with a program at the Bill Arnold farm, the site where the nine miners were brought to the surface.Former Gov. Mark Scheweiker will be a special guest and WJAC-TV's Jim Burton will emcee.Stay with Channel 6 News for continuing coverage.
