On Monday, dozens of employees were laid off at Johnstown's Freightcar America Plant.

Many of those workers are now collecting unemployment after nearly 30 years of work.

Officials at M and C Trucking said they noticed a sharp decline in orders shipped from the Cambria County plant.

"The Johnstown plant had a lot of the freight that we did and it brought back a lot of my guys home, so it's a significant impact," M and C President John Muchesko said.

Muchesko said despite the disappointing news about the layoffs, he is confident his business will find another account to offset the loss from Freightcar America.
