Rendell Says Flight 93 Memorial Will Be Constructed By 2011

Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell said he will do everything in his power to ensure the permanent Flight 93 memorial will be constructed in time for the 10th anniversary of 9/11.Leaders in Washington are trying to get the Environmental Protection Agency to agree to start construction on the permanent memorial, despite the levels of manganese found on the crash site.At a Flight 93 memorial service on Tuesday, the governor said he is hopeful the EPA will agree to move forward with construction because of the importance of getting a permanent memorial constructed for the heroes on the flight.Rep. Bill Shuster was not present at the memorial ceremony and instead was in Washington, D.C., to get the situation resolved.
