Bobbi Jo Morgan has been criminally charged for hitting and killing Bertha Kitchen and her 3-year-old granddaughter in Clearfield County.Morgan told police she was leaving a methadone clinic and didn't see the two walking next to the roadway.Police reports said drugs were found in Morgan's system other than methadone, like Xanax, a drug that is commonly known to cause problems while driving.Workers at the methadone clinic in Richland Township said although Morgan is not their patient, this is a new problem methadone clinics are facing because often times nurses cannot tell if someone has taken the drug Xanax before they take their dose of methadone.Workers also said it is the abusers who go to other medications while in treatment that are casting a bad light on the positive results many methadone clinics have provided for drug abusers.Stay with Channel 6 News and WJACTV.com for continuing coverage.
