DUBOIS, Pa. -- Hunters across the Alleghenies set out in search of a trophy buck this morning, but sometimes that search leads hunters to remote areas of Pennsylvania's forests.Channel Six News spoke to EMTs and paramedics at Du-San Community Ambulance in DuBois about how they respond to hunting accidents.According to EMS officials, responding to these accidents takes a little improvisation on the part of EMTs and paramedics. They added that it takes teamwork when responded to an injured hunter in a remote location."A lot of times fire departments have brush-clearing capabilities," said Mike Federici. "The means are always different, depending on the patient's location."Federici also recommended that all hunters carry cell phones, to call for help, if necessary.
