Animal Activist Fined, Sentenced To Probation For Stealing Dog

An animal activist found guilty of stealing a dog was ordered to pay a $1,700 fine and will spend one year on probation.Tammy Grimes was sentenced Friday in Blair County for stealing a couple's 19-year-old dog last year.Grimes was also ordered to conduct 300 hours of community service and remove any reference to the dog from her Web site. Further, Grimes is not allowed to profit from the sale of any material featuring the dog.Recently, on a video statement made on YouTube.com, Grimes said she refused to pay court costs required of her and would rather go to jail.Stay with Channel 6 News and WJACTV.com for continuing coverage.
