WOODWARD TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- A Clearfield County man was arrested Thursday in connection with the killing of his mother.

Cindy Jo Coleman, 48, was killed early Thursday morning at the Woodward Terrace Apartments in Woodward Township, Clearfield County.

Police later arrested her 20-year-old son, Jesse James Campbell.

Officials wouldn't comment on any possible motive behind the crime.

They also would not comment on how Coleman died but an autopsy is planned for Friday.

Police said it was clear that Coleman was killed due to cuts on her neck.

Jesse Campbell faces charges of criminal homicide and aggravated assault.

He was arraigned Thursday and is currently in the Clearfield County Jail without bail.
