Teen Says She Was Sexually Assaulted, Beaten At Party

Posted: 3:06 pm EDT March 18, 2008Updated: 3:28 pm EDT March 18, 2008

A 14-year-old girl said she was battered and forced to perform sex acts against her will at a party in Johnstown.

Jason Ickes, 19, of Johnstown, was arrested and charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and unlawful contact with a minor.

Police said the alleged victim called police from a pay phone at the Solomon Homes early in the morning on Feb. 29. When police arrived, the teenager was crying and visibly upset.

The girl told the officer she and another girlfriend had been picked up by men and taken to an apartment at the housing complex. After a night of drinking, the teen said she first had consensual sex but was then forced to perform various sex acts against her will.

She said some of the abuse was reportedly videotaped. At one point, the victim said she was hit and kicked by people at the party.

Ickes was arrested following an investigation that included a search warrant, interviews and a suspect lineup. Ickes is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday to determine if there is enough evidence to send his case to trial.
