Johnstown Man Pleads Guilty To Arsons

A volunteer firefighter pleaded guilty Tuesday to setting five fires in Johnstown, causing $180,000 in damages.

Charles Shenego will serve his time under house arrest, ordered not to leave his residence from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. He will be sentenced in July.

Shenego said he started setting small Dumpster fires, then moved to unoccupied buildings before setting the Weinzeirl's Garage on fire in 2007.
