New Supervisor Takes Seat In Somerset County

CONEMAUGH TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- After a year of problems including the resignation of a township supervisor, a new supervisor has accepted the nomination to fill the vacancy.Al Zuccolotto replaced Calvin Gindlesberger, who left his position last month after allegations were made that his personal information, including his Social Security number, was given out at a public meeting.Zuccolotto said he wants to prevent problems in the future.Zuccolotto, who has been outspoken at several township meetings, said one of the most important things will be to keep township taxes as low as possible and give residents a chance to have input on the decisions they make.He assumes his new position Wednesday at the board's regularly scheduled monthly meeting.
