CURWENSVILLE, Pa. -- While everyone else pays well over $4 a gallon for a diesel fuel, one bus fleet is running on fuel that costs almost half that.Kip's Bus Service, in Curwensville, uses biofuel in its fleet.Biofuel is a mixture of cooking oil and diesel fuel.Owner Bill Gourley said his fuel costs about $2.50 a gallon.Kip's Bus Service is one of the only companies in the region to make its own biofuel.Gourley said he made the decision to save some money."Even after paying someone to gather the vegetable oil, it's still cheaper than regular fuel," he said.Gourley added that it feels good to help the environment.Along with the biodiesel, he uses solar power for his office equipment.
