Posted: 12:51 pm EDT July 25, 2008Updated: 1:47 pm EDT July 29, 2008

Police said they shot and killed a man suspected of opening fire outside of a radio station in Centre County.

Employees at WTLR, a Christian radio station, called police after warnings that an armed man was driving to the station's Ferguson Township office, station manager Mark VanOuse said.

When police showed up, the man rammed one of the cruisers with his Ford Bronco and opened fire, witnesses said.

Witnesses said dozens of shots were exchanged before police shot and killed the man. No one else was hurt.

Police had not released the man's identity or a motive for the shooting as of noon. Stay with Channel 6 News and WJACTV.com for continuing coverage as details become available.
