HARPERS FERRY, W.Va. -- West Virginia is a new and unexpected frontline in the battle against illegal immigration. U.S. Customs and Border Protection has opened a multimillion-dollar training academy on a tiny road in Harpers Ferry, W.Va.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Ralph Basham said, "In this age of global terrorism, it is essential that those sworn to protect the borders of our nation are fully trained and prepared to do so."
