PINE CREEK TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- For years, water at the Pine Creek Elementary School was full of iron and brown. In 1999, as part of a renovation project, a water treatment system was installed at the school.District officials said that took care of the color of the water. But they were still concerned high usage of the water could draw down their well. The district recently completed a 7,000 foot water line that connects the school to Brookville's municipal supply.District officials said the water line could open up new opportunities."We could increase enrollment from around 280 to 325," said Principal Mark Harmon.Officials said houses along the line will have the option to use city water.
