Drugs Confiscated From PSU Football Players' Apartment

Wednesday, September 3, 2008 – updated: 2:06 pm EDT September 3, 2008

Just one game into its new season, the Penn State football program is seeing more possible off-the-field problems.

Penn State's student newspaper, the Daily Collegian, reported Tuesday night that police were summoned to respond to a loud party at the Nittany dorms complex.

According to a police report, a search warrant was issued and a small amount of marijuana and other items were seized from a campus apartment occupied by several members of the football team.

Defensive starters Maurice Evans, A.J. Wallace and Abe Koroma live at the apartment.

Police said minor drug possession charges are pending, but they did not know as of Wednesday if any of the football players will be charged or if someone else who was in the apartment will be charged.
