Jefferson County Courthouse Renovation Plans Move Forward

BROOKVILLE, Pa. -- Plans for renovations at the Jefferson County Courthouse are moving forward.But county officials may have to look for a new construction staging area.The original plan included a staging area in an alley near the building.Construction crews need space for four trailers.At a meeting this week, some members of the Brookville Borough Council expressed concern over the plan.They're worried about the trailers becoming an obstruction during a fire at the building.County officials said they're looking into a few other staging locations across Brookville.They added that construction should start sometime this fall.
